Governors twilight event at the Wellcome Trust

Myscience are working with the Wellcome Trust to run a free session for school governors on 11 June from 17.45 – 20.00 at the Wellcome Trust building in Euston. The evening will look at:

  • the roles and responsibilities of governors in supporting the continuing professional development of teaching staff, presented by an HMI
  • the Wellcome Trust work on a code of governance for schools
  • the support offered by the National Science Learning Centre and National STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Centre

All school governors are welcome to attend. The event is free and includes light refreshments at the end of the evening.

To understand how well your school is doing it’s very useful to be able to compare your school’s results with those of schools with similar intakes. Hopefully your school is already providing you with this data, but if not here it is.
